Washburn Endorsers Shadows Fall Deemed "Golden Gods"

Chicago, Illinois, June 10, 2003 - Washburn Endorsers, Shadows Fall have returned to the States with one of Metal Hammer magazine's coveted "Golden Gods" Awards. The highly acclaimed band opened the first ever Metal Hammer Awards ceremony with a blistering four song set and then walked away with the award for Best Underground Act.

The Metal Hammer awards took place at the Forum in London, in front of an audience composed of both fans and celebrities, including Lemmy, Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, Marilyn Manson, Amen, Inme, Dita Von Tesse, Cradle of Filth, Mortiis, The Darkness, A, Violent Delight, Soil, The Murderdolls, Dirty Harry, Funeral For A Friend, Gary Numan, Raging Speedhorn, Satyr Wongraven, Ville Valo, Thrice, Strung Out, The Donnas and Taproot.

Shadows Fall continues to gain impressive popularity among fellow musicians, especially with famous guitar player Zakk Wylde. In fact, Wylde put them on the top of his must-see list for Ozzfest this summer, stating, "I can't wait to see Shadows Fall. Those kids can f*ckin' play guitar, man. Not too many guys are doing that now."

Washburn endorser, Jon Donais plays the USA Custom Shop NX6 and the USA Custom Shop X80 models.
