Will Seghers Bio
Born in Belgium in June 1979, Will started playing guitar at 16. After taking classes with numerous teachers and playing with various bands, he entered Nancy's Music Academy Internationnal where he had the priviledge to learn alongside excellent teachers and to meet a number of musicians who are now known in the French and European metal scene. He graduated in July 2001.
Will then left his native Belgium in October 2002 and soon after his arrival in Canada, he joined the death metal band QUO VADIS as session guitarist. He recorded 6 solos on the band's latest album “Defiant Imagination” alongside Steve DiGiorgio, performed on their DVD called “Defiant Indoctrination” and toured Quebec, Canada and Germany.
In April 2006, NEURAXIS added him to its lineup, which gave him the chance to tour the USA, Canada and Europe with bands such as NECROPHAGIST, MISERY INDEX, DYING FETUS, MALVOLENT CREATION, ARSIS, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ROTTING CHRIST, DECREPIT BIRTH, THE FACELESS, MARTYR,...
One year later, the band recorded it's first live album titled “Live Progression” , released in November 2007. Since then, Will has participated in the writing of NEURAXIS 5th studio album titled “The Thin Line Between”, released worldwide July 2008 through Prosthetic Records.
Along with his band activities, Will is also a private guitar and musical theory teacher and has been for the last 8
years. He makes some educationnal videos for the french website laguitare.com.
