Sonny Mayo Sevendust
In 1995, I moved to Southern California and committed my self to a life of music. I was an original member of Snot and went on to play in Amen for a few years, with several major and independent releases. After spending a couple of years working as a hired gun I was asked to join Sevendust in January 2005. I gladly accepted... Then I began the search for a guitar that could handle grueling tours, abusive shows, and still be able to deliver in the studio. I took my time and tried out a lot guitars from several different companies. I was never truly satisfied until I played a Washburn Pilsen Idol. I immediately ordered 2 more and took them on the road for the ultimate test. |
| Meanwhile, the masters in the Washburn custom shop began building me guitars to all my specifications. These guitars held their ground on tour. And I recently tracked the new Sevendust record using my Washburn custom guitars. I am honored to present my signature model, the Omega Idol. This guitar has the classic feel and the ominous tone I've always sought. It can take a beating on stage and give a beating in the studio. Just what a guitarist like me is looking for... |
