Washburn M226SWK Mandola
Horizontal Rule Divider Washburn M226SWK

OVERVIEW

Washburn has been building mandolins since the late 1800s. Whether you're a bluegrass, Celtic or rock player, see how the addition of a mandolin can broaden your sonic pallet and add a new dimension to your music. For traditionalists, you'll find all the tone & projection you'd expect from our world class instruments.

The Mandola instrument is the ancester of the modern day Mandolin.  The strings are tuned in unision, rather than in octaves as seen on traditional modern Mandolins.  The Mandola also has a longer scale length then traditional mandolins, at 17 inches.  It is normally tuned just like a viola,  C G D and A.
