Building the Damen
Watch as the Washburn Chicago Guitar Shop creates a custom Damen Idol guitar for Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy. Commentary from Chicago's own Joe Trohman & Washburn Guitars employees plus some concert footage of Fall Out Boy.		 With a southern backdrop of the city’s skyline, and an attitude all its own, Damen Avenue in Chicago’s Wicker Park is notoriously known for its individuality. Fashion, art, and music are inescapable and seem to be oozing out from every sidewalk, storefront, art gallery and building facade. Damen Avenue is the hot spot for the finest alternative, pop and punk musicians; it’s a breeding ground for indie record labels’ best talent.

At any hour of the day, music venues, clubs, bars, and rehearsal studios provide for the neighborhood’s continuously evolving soundtrack. Constantly shaping a musical scene that strives for evolution, and individuality, hard working musicians and artists look for any form of sonic vehicle to deliver their message.
