Anima Inside is consolidated at the end of the year 2005 thanks to Alex Nuñez (Guitar 2005-2007) and Riccardo de la Cuesta (Voice 2005-present), when they decide to make several auditions and integrate the new members of the band, including Juan Jose Erazo (Bass 2005-present). The Band recorded in 2006 “In Between” a demo with several songs, which serve as pre-production of their debut album “Reflection”, from which the songs that stand out are: “Father Time” (afterwards Empty Shell), “Far Behind”, “Take me Home” and “In Between”. In 2007, Anima Inside begins the process of producing its first album which would be released in November 2009 “Reflection”. The Band gets in contact with Fusao VMT Studios of Sao Paulo-Brazil and with the producer Thiago Bianchi, who had worked with important bands as: Angra, Shaman or Karma. Anima Inside travels to Brazil for the recording of the album. The year 2008 becomes important for Anima Inside; it is chosen to open the Deep Purple concert in Ecuador, and the Band travels to its first international concert at the Festival “BajaProg” in Mexicali-Mexico. A special version of “Reflection” is edited for this festival, which will run out; multiple record labels get in contact and finally EMI Music will launch it in 2009. Under the record label of EMI Music, the Band releases “Reflection” (November 2009) which becomes a local hit reaching Gold Record sales in Ecuador in 2010 and several of its main singles get to the top of the charts in radios, being the first rock band to achieve this in Ecuador. The singles: Far Behind, Hypnotize me and These Words are accompanied by videos of excellent quality, winning several awards. “Hypnotize Me” is chosen for the commercial “Ford 150” in Latin America and for the video game “RockBand”. Other songs of the Band also appear in compilations and movies soundtrack such as “Cuento Sin Hadas”. In 2011, Anima Inside makes several tours, one of which is made in an acoustic version accompanied by strings and choirs; this tour is recorded on DVD. Anima Inside shares the stage with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne and Mr. Big, giving it strength in the media and calling the attention of musical instruments and equipment endorsements that see a potential of the Band for the marketing of its products in the region. In the same year, the Band gets back again to the studio for recording the album “Duality”. “Dream Enough” the first single from the album “Duality” is launched into the Market as soundtrack of the 2012 advertisement campaign of the Graiman company, and quickly becomes a hit and is positioned at the top places of the radios, ahead of the album as a strategy. Anima Inside leaves EMI Music and signs with the record label MTM (Warner Music in Ecuador) with which plans to launch “Duality” in 2013. 2012 is a year of transition that marks the maturity of the Band and during which time, interesting projects are carried out such as its 360 unplugged concert and innovative partnerships in order to expect a 2013 full of surprises! Inspired by his love for heavy metal music Ryan picked up the guitar at age 16. Influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Helloween and Blind Guardian, he began to form a style and sound that would eventually become the cornerstone of Crimson Shadows’ music. Through the years of playing with fellow Crimson Shadows guitar player Greg Rounding, they have hit many milestones in their career. Including winning the worldwide Wacken Open Air Metal Battle 2013, and most recently the release of Crimson Shadows’ debut album on Napalm Records “Kings Among Men”. Sister Sin was formed in 2002 and released various recordings via smaller indie labels. They issued their first non-indie album Switchblade Serenades via Victory Records in October 2008; it reached number 107 on Top Heatseekers in the first week of release in the US. The band performed two US national tours in support of the album, with bands like Motörhead, Otep, and Ill Niño. Sister Sin also toured Europe with Arch Enemy and played at festivals like Sweden Rock and Norway Rock. In early 2010 they recorded a follow-up album entitled True Sound Of The Underground with producer Henrik Edenhed (of Dead by April, Lambretta etc.) which landed on number 96 at Top Heatseekers in the United States on June 22nd 2010. Later that year the band parted ways with bassist Benton Wiberg, due to his inability to tour. The band recruited Strandh as a new bassist and toured Europe with Lordi. Kata Hay stepped on stage for the first time at the age of 2. She proudly belted out her rendition of Hank Williams “Hey Good Lookin'” acapella, wowed the crowd, and hasn’t slowed down since. Over the years she became the youngest person to EVER win Ed McMahon’s Star Search at age 5, took home the AWA’s Rising Star Award, became a hall of fame inductee of the Oklahoma Opry, won 5 International Yodeling Championships, and was honored with being the ONLY recipient of the Grant Leftwich Legacy Award. During her teenage years Kata traveled the US, and toured Australia twice playing a combination of her original songs, and Western Swing classics. Her cd “Cowboys, Guitars, and a Lil’ Bit Of Swing” made it in the top 5 on the Western Music Charts, and her cover of “Cattle Call” held the #1 spot for 3 weeks. At age 18, Kata made the move to Tennessee, and met Robbie Helton, who became her bass player, co-writer, and eventually 2 years later, her husband. They formed the band Kata & The Blaze in 2006 and opened for legends such as Merle Haggard, Wanda Jackson and played for over a million people in 2008 alone. Kata started a Youtube page in her spare time in late 2008. Taylor Swift hand picked Kata’s “Hey Stephen” cover as one of her 4 favorites, out of over 500 videos and posted it to the Taylor Swift website. Reeves Gabrels (b.1956) is an American guitarist, currently touring internationally with The Cure (since summer 2012), one of Britain’s best-known alternative rock bands. Gabrels is known for his long partnership with British singer David Bowie, with whom he worked regularly as guitarist, bandmate, co-writer and co-producer from 1987 to 1999. Before, during and since Gabrels has also independently pursued an active and wide-ranging international music career from bases in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and London. Since 2006, he has lived in Nashville, Tennessee. Gabrels was born in Staten Island, New York in June 1956. His mother was a typist and his father worked on tugboats in New York Harbor. Gabrels started playing guitar at age 13, and the following year (1971) his father arranged for lessons with the father’s friend and contemporary Turk Van Lake, who lived in the neighborhood. Van Lake (1918-2002) was a professional musician who had played with Benny Goodman and others. After high school, Gabrels attended the Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts in New York City but continued to play guitar. In New York, he met noted jazz guitarist John Scofield, from whom he took a lesson or two. Gabrels moved to Boston to attend the Berklee School of Music, which he left several credits short of a degree in 1980-81. During the 1980s and early 1990s Gabrels was a member of Boston bands such as The Dark, Life on Earth, Rubber Rodeo, The Bentmen and Modern Farmer. Modern Farmer (Gabrels, Jamie Rubin, David Hull, and Billy Beard) issued a self-titled record on Victory/Universal in 1993. Gabrels met David Bowie during a Bowie tour in 1987 for which Gabrels’ then-wife, Sara Terry, worked as publicist. Gabrels later (1989-1993) joined forces with Bowie and the Sales brothers (drummer Hunt Sales and bass player Tony Sales) in the rock band Tin Machine. Later, Gabrels became an essential part of Bowie’s nineties sound, most notably on Outside (1995), Earthling (1997), and ‘hours…’ (1999), the latter two of which he co-produced. Gabrels and Bowie also created the soundtrack to the computer game Omikron: The Nomad Soul in 1999 for the game’s French publisher. Gabrels ended his professional association with Bowie in late 1999. Gabrels is an accomplished composer/songwriter, musical collaborator, and solo performer/producer with varied credits. He previously worked with Robert Smith of The Cure during the late 1990s, collaborating on The Cure’s track “Wrong Number,” and “A Sign From God” (with Jason Cooper and Robert Smith as COGASM), as well as the song “Yesterday’s Gone,” which Smith sings on Gabrels’ album Ulysses (Della Notte). Gabrels and slide guitarist David Tronzo joined forces on a virtuoso instrumental album, “Night in Amnesia,” issued by Rounder in 1995. Gabrels continues to play periodically, as does Tronzo, with Club D’Elf, a jazz-dub-Moroccan group led by Mike Rivard with a diverse roster of musicians and an improvisational approach. Gabrels has written soundtracks for films including David Sutherland’s “The Farmer’s Wife” (Frontline, 1997) and for PBS productions, and collaborated with Public Enemy on the song “Go Cat Go” for the Spike Lee film “He Got Game” (soundtrack, Def Jam, 1998). He wrote the “club music” portions of the soundtrack for the video game Deus Ex. Solo records by Gabrels include The Sacred Squall of Now (Rounder/Upstart, 1995); Ulysses (Della Notte) (Emagine, 2000); Live, Late, Loud (Myth Music, 2003); and Rockonica (Myth Music/Favored Nations/Sony, 2005). Gabrels can also be heard on “New Universal Order,” a Heavy metal album released by German label AFM in June 2008 for X-World/5 with drummer Big Swede, bass player Magnus Rosén, vocalist Nils K. Rue, and guitarist Andy LaRocque. In Nashville, Gabrels often performs locally, including at the Family Wash, a restaurant/music venue. His lead guitar playing is featured on a 2011 album by The Magnificent Others, a band fronted by singer/songwriter/guitarist James H. (Jamie) Rubin, who owns the Family Wash.
